London is a city that is constantly growing, developing and being transformed. The most popular areas in London change regularly, and there are lots of factors to take into consideration if you’re choosing an area in London to move to.

Attic Self Storage has collected official data and combined it with its own research to find out which London boroughs are the best to live in overall. These rankings take into consideration happiness, crime rates, affordability, schools, green space, quietness and levels of ‘cool’.

Richmond upon Thames

Richmond upon ThamesTopping the list is Richmond upon Thames. Located in Zone 6 in south west London, the borough has the highest amount of green space, the fourth lowest crime rate and is the fifth happiest and coolest area in London. Richmond Park, Hampton Court Palace and the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew are some of the most popular spots in the borough. Richmond boasts some incredible developments, including Isabella House from Richstone Properties.

Bromley

Dylon Works (Crest Nicholson)The London Borough of Bromley is the third happiest area in the capital. It ranks seventh for both its quietness and average rental price. Bromley, Beckenham, Sydenham and Crystal Palace all lie within the borough boundaries.

Bromley has undergone a great deal of regeneration over the last few years, and there are many new homes available in the borough, including Dylon Works in Bromley from Crest Nicholson and Woodhams Apartments in Bromley from Hambridge Homes. James Overton, managing director of Hambridge Homes, comments: “Bromley is an incredibly exciting place to be, with excellent growth expected thanks to its regeneration. Residents will benefit from improved amenities, including a beautiful piazza surrounded by cafes and restaurants, and also a boost to the local economy. We chose to build Woodhams Apartments on Masons Bromley, as it is the ideal location for stylish modern living in an area of London which is becoming a popular place to live, particularly with its excellent transport connections into central London.”

Sutton

One of the southernmost boroughs in London, Sutton is the second quietest area, has the third lowest crime rate and the fifth lowest average rental price. A historic borough, it has a number of designated conservation areas and plenty of attractions, including Sutton Life Centre, Carew Manor and the River Wandle.
